Governor's Office of Energy Policy

The mission of the GOEP is to oversee the implementation of Kentucky’s comprehensive energy strategy, Kentucky's Energy: Opportunities for Our Future, as developed by the Governor's Energy Policy Task Force. The 54 recommendations that make up the strategy embody Governor Fletcher's guiding principles for Kentucky's energy future:
- Maintain Kentucky's low-cost energy;
- Responsibly develop Kentucky's energy resources;
- Preserve Kentucky’s commitment to environmental quality.
Office of the Vice President for Research - University of Kentucky

The Office of the Vice President for Research, under the direction of the University of Kentucky Provost, administers the university's $324-million-a-year research enterprise. The office oversees research proposal development, grants & contracts administration, nine multidisciplinary research centers, and an array of shared-use facilities that serve UK researchers. Cross-disciplinary research at UK is sparked by the fact that it is one of the few universities in the country with a teaching and research campus, and a medical center located on one central campus.
